Ms. Raisa’s journey in hair began long before Hair She Rose had a name.

In 2001, at 12 years old, her mother was pregnant with her younger sister and Raisa became responsible for caring for her own hair. What began as a necessity grew into curiosity, discipline and a lifelong understanding that learning your hair can change how you see yourself.

She created Hair She Rose to bring that same intention to beauty—giving women the time, care and education they need to build a healthier relationship with their hair, while showing young people what their creativity can become.
